Sanctus de Angelis • Comprehensive Practice Tracks

Greetings all—

I would like to draw your attention to three new practice tracks for learning & rehearsing the Sanctus from Missa de Angelis (Mass VIII).

The first video features a brief explanation of how the Sanctus is structured and how the various musical motifs are recycled throughout, followed by a “repeat after me” presentation of each phrase for easy mastery. A timestamp is provided in the description for those who prefer to skip the introduction and pass directly to the singing portion.

The second video is a straightforward presentation of a cantor singing with organ, and lastly an organ-only version for cantors who would like to practice without hearing someone else singing in their ear.

I hope these resources are helpful for you and your choir!

PPS—there will be no new video this week featuring a setting of Psalm 95, since this same psalm was posted last year and can be purchased here.
